Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation

Professionals and Addiction

We are here for you with a customized and holistic addiction treatment program, designed for the whole person: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You will enjoy a peaceful retreat where we examine the addictive nature of substances such as alcohol prescription medications, opiates, marijuana, methamphetamines, ecstasy, etc.

We have a unique and customized alcohol/drug treatment program, with an integrated team of experienced and continually-trained professionals. The team consists of a general practice physician, psychologists, an activity director and in some cases psychiatrists and physicians in different specialities.

We are non-denominational, and we support the wishes of our clients for the church of their choice. Our clients may seek and rely on a higher power for assistance in achieving goals. We believe our alcohol/drug treatment program can and will achieve recovery from addiction. Our therapeutic philosophy emphasizes individual counseling, with a cognitive behavioral approach. We also incorporate education into treatment. Many other alcohol/drug treatment programs rely heavily on group therapy we do not. The most effective alcohol/drug treatment program for one client may differ from the most appropriate treatment method for another. The type of drug, client background, length of abuse, motivation for treatment, environment and social support all play important roles in determining the most appropriate alcohol/drug treatment.

We believe it is important to receive one-on-one treatment with a psychologist. Our alcohol/drug therapeutic intervention relies on a cognitive–behavioral approach, which addresses irrational thinking and thereby, attempts to restructure thought processes. Our alcohol/drug dependency treatment services provide a structured environment that begins with the detoxification/withdrawal process, and extends through to aftercare planning (for the time after residential drug and alcohol treatment).

About Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

CBT is a form of therapy (psychological) that deals with those 3 aspects of a person.

On the cognitive aspect, it deals with the thought process of a person. It helps the person develop a more healthy and beneficial way of thinking and perceiving situations, etc, life in general.

On the behavioral aspect, it deals with the actions the person has been doing (recently or his entire life that has led to the problem for which he/she is seeking help). When a person realizes and acknowledges how his behavior, surroundings, acquaintances, etc, have contributed to his current undesired condition, he is able to correct and modify them if he so desires, now that he has appropriated and fully understands the different factors involved.

The final aspect is the feelings and emotions of the person which are intricate to all human beings. If a person doesn’t know how to handle or deal with his or her emotions, it will eventually lead to undesired behavior or thought patters. It is important to treat during therapy the emotional aspect, so that the person learns how to handle his emotions and not fall a victim to them.
