About Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
CBT is a form of therapy (psychological) that deals with those 3 aspects of a person.
On the cognitive aspect, it deals with the thought process of a person. It helps the person develop a more healthy and beneficial way of thinking and perceiving situations, etc, life in general.
On the behavioral aspect, it deals with the actions the person has been doing (recently or his entire life that has led to the problem for which he/she is seeking help). When a person realizes and acknowledges how his behavior, surroundings, acquaintances, etc, have contributed to his current undesired condition, he is able to correct and modify them if he so desires, now that he has appropriated and fully understands the different factors involved.
The final aspect is the feelings and emotions of the person which are intricate to all human beings. If a person doesn’t know how to handle or deal with his or her emotions, it will eventually lead to undesired behavior or thought patters. It is important to treat during therapy the emotional aspect, so that the person learns how to handle his emotions and not fall a victim to them.
